Who I am
|
Canadian born and bred, and proud of it!
In Timmins, ON on 17 Sept 1937
and moved to North Bay, ON by age 10. Finished High School there. After a hitch in the Air Force, I completed my BA in 1967. Began my career in social work and counseling for the next 28 years. During this time, I also worked as a trucker, bus driver, and pilot. Now, with retirement, I have taken on a new career as a writer of short stories. Time will tell how that will go.

Mostly, just living. Travel is important, too. I've been to every state (except Alaska)in the US and all over Canada (except Newfoundland). A memorable night out should include the theatre and a great seafood dinner in the company of good friends. Quiet walks on the beach, or in the country can make a day perfect too. Music (no Rap or hard rock, thanks) and TV are enjoyable, especially with a friend on the couch in the cold winter. A sip of wine at this time helps!

Where I live
|
In North Bay, ON (pop 55,000)on Lake Nipissing. The beach, a five minute walk from my front door, is about 10 miles long, and swimming is freely available anywhere along it. The fishing is about the best there is, all year round. The area is surrounded by forests, lakes, rivers, and every kind of outdoor activity you could imagine. And the big city (Toronto)is less than 4 hours down the road.
